His 30-year career in South Florida includes having served as General Manager at the Diplomat Resort and the Eden Roc and Sales & Marketing Director for the Colony Hotel and the Edison Hotel.

Well you can't knock this guy for not being qualified. From the article it seems like he has had a long career in this industry. Just based off his body of work I believe he will make a great director of sales and marketing.
