Michael A. Bonet, has joined Kahn-Carlin & Co., based in Miami, as the director of the firm's construction and surety bonding department. Prior to joining Kahn-Carlin, Bonet was a senior vice president with Brown & Brown in Miami Lakes.
MDW Insurance Group names director of finance
MDW Insurance Group based in Coral Gables, has named Denise Thomas as director of finance. She will be responsible for overseeing the accounting department and information technology. Previously, Thomas was accounting manager for Corporate Insurance Advisors in Fort Lauderdale.
Sister Emmanuel Hospital appoints board member
Damian Pardo has been elected to the board of directors of Sister Emmanuel Hospital, located in Mercy Hospital. Pardo is a senior financial advisor with Merrill Lynch.
City of Coral Gables appoints board member
Ginger Jochem has been appointed to the cultural development board for the City of Coral Gables. The board is responsible for providing arts advocacy, administering the city's cultural grant program, overseeing the city's Art in Public Places program and working with experts from the arts advisory panel. Ginger is a Realtor with Slesnick & Associates.
UM Business School appoints board member
The University of Miami School of Business Administration has appointed Romero Britto to the school's entrepreneurship program advisory board. Britto and other members of the board will promote awareness and collaboration between the school's entrepreneurship program and local and international entrepreneurship communities. Britto is a pop artist, painter and sculptor.

The Latin Builders Association, has appointed Angel Medina III to its board of junior directors. Medina is a financial advisor with Morgan Keegan in Miami.
Greater Miami Shores Chamber elects VP
Lance A. Harke, managing partner of the Miami-based commercial litigation and consumer class action law firm Harke & Clasby, has been elected vice president of the Greater Miami Shores Chamber of Commerce.
Rick Case Automotive names president, COO
The Rick Case Automotive Group has promoted Jack "JJ" Jackintelle to president and chief operating officer. In his new role, he will assist the group's owners in managing dealerships and promoting sales through marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Rick Case, Jackintelle was market director with Group 1 Automotive.
