Latin Builders Association names board members

The Latin Builders Association has appointed Joe Fernandez and Carlos Delgado to its board of directors.

Fernandez is president of JCON Group in Miami.

 

 

Delgado is the regional sales manager for Progressive Employer Services.

 

Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber elects board member

Chuck Mohr, BankAtlantic's South Florida president and regional executive for Broward and Miami-Dade counties, has been elected to the 2010 board of directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Mohr will also serve as a member on the chamber's finance committee.

 

Nicaraguan American Chamber appoints president

Mario J. Sacasa has been appointed president of the Nicaraguan American Chamber of Commerce. Sacasa currently serves as senior vice president for international economic development of The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade's official economic development partnership.

PBS operator names chairman of board, new members

Ramon A. Rodriguez has been named chairman of the board of directors of Community Television Foundation of South Florida, the nonprofit organization that operates PBS station WPBT2. Rodriguez is chairman of the board of Bank of Florida - Southeast. The board also elected elected three vice-chairs: Jack Lowell, Flagler Development Group, Coral Gables; Laurie Silvers, Hollywood Media Corp., Boca Raton; and Jim Rasmussen, SunTrust Bank, Fort Lauderdale. The board also added one new director,
Raul Valdes-Fauli, president, Miami-Dade County for CNL Bank.

Pacific National Bank names senior VP

Susan J. Galli has been named senior vice president and chief risk management officer for Miami-based Pacific National Bank. She was most recently managing director and founder of Galli AML Advisory.

 

Wells Fargo Private Bank appoints regional manager

Wells Fargo Private Bank has appointed Jason Williams as regional manager for the Miami and Fort Lauderdale regions, based in Miami. Williams will oversee wealth management functions for the region. Most recently, Williams worked in Beverly Hills, Calif. as the senior regional sales manager for Wells Fargo.

Grant Thornton names senior associate

Grant Thornton has promoted Ken Pitter to senior associate, audit services. Pitter was previously an associate in audit services with Grant Thornton. He will work from the firm's Miami and Fort Lauderdale offices.

 

Spirit Airlines appoints officer and VP

Spirit Airlines has appointed Ken McKenzie as chief operating officer and Chris Grazel as vice president, flight operations. McKenzie was most recently executive vice president of operations for WestJest. Grazel was most recently vice president of operations at Skybus Airlines.

Fiske & Company names principal

Fiske & Company, based in South Florida, has named Katie Gilden as principal for the company's business valuation, forensic accounting and litigation services practice group.

MarcumRachlin names director

Vivian Carballo-Lara has joined MarcumRachlin as director of client services. She will primarily focus on the Florida marketplace. Carballo-Lara most recently worked for Coopers & Lybrand and Deloitte & Touche.
