Pensam Capital names senior financial analyst

Pensam Capital, a direct real estate funding company focusing on debt and equity investing throughout Florida, has named Bryan J. Davis as a senior financial analyst. Davis will be responsible for loan and acquisition underwriting. Prior to joining Pensam, Davis was an analyst for Starwood Capital Group in San Francisco.

Shake-A-Leg Miami elects COO

 Shake-A-Leg Miami, a community-based Watersports center and Marine Academy serving able bodied individuals as well as those with physical, developmental and economic challenges, has appointed Donald R. Du Chateau as chief operating officer. Du Chateau will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Shake-A-Leg Miami. Prior to joining Shake-A-Leg Miami, Du Chateau worked for the American Cancer Society, serving as vice president for field operations.

The Key Clubhouse of South Florida appoints executive director

Stephanie Solovei has been appointed as executive director of The Key Clubhouse of South Florida, a nonprofit organization that is establishing a clubhouse for individuals living with serious mental illness. Solovei was most recently program administrator at the Center for Family and Child Enrichment.

 Adorno & Yoss, based in Coral Gables, has named Douglas E. Ede as a partner and Stephen J. Smulowitz as an associate. Ede is a commercial litigator and founder of his own practice, The Ede Law Firm based in Coral Gables. Smulowitz was most recently an associate at the Lauro Law Firm in Tampa.

 

South Miami Hospital names board member

 Marcos Antonio Ramos, has been named to the board of directors of South Miami Hospital. Ramos is professor of History at Florida Center for Theological Studies and a senior research associate at the Institute of Cuban and Cuban American Studies at the University of Miami.

The Doctors Hospital Foundation elects board members

The Doctors Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of Doctors Hospital in Coral Gables, has named three board members: Miguel Cano, Agustin G. de Goytisolo and Nick Waddell. Cano is the managing director for Biscayne Finance Co. in Coral Gables. De Goytisolo is a mortgage banker at Gibraltar Private Bank in Coral Gables. Waddell is the owner and president of Nick Waddell Insurance Agency, a State Farm Insurance Agency in Coral Gables.

Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization reelects chair

 Daniel J. Stermer, a consultant with Development Specialists, and a City of Weston Commissioner, has been reelected as the chair of the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization.

UM Law names adjunct faculty dean

Professor Douglas K. Bischoff has been appointed associate dean for the adjunct faculty at UM Law. An adjunct professor at UM Law since 1983, Bischoff has directed the graduate program in real property development since 1999.

Joyce Landry, chief executive of Landry & Kling and cofounder of Seasite.com, has been named to the Forum Governing Group of the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, the nation's largest third-party-certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States.
