Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce appoints board member

Attorney Cliff Schulman, who recently joined Weiss Serota Helfman Pastoriza Cole & Boniske, has been named to the board of governors of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce. As a partner at Weiss Serota, Schulman focuses on land use and environmental law.

Spanish Broadcasting System names VP and manager

    Spanish Broadcasting System has appointed Jose R. Perez to vice president of programming and Camilo Bernal to manager of affiliate relations at Mega TV. Before joining the Mega TV network, Perez was senior vice president of entertainment and programming development for UnivisiÐn Network. Bernal most recently managed sales and business Development for Worldvibe Entertainment Group.

 

BankUnited names team leader, VPs

Joe Cardenas has relocated to BankUnited's private banking team as private banker and team lead for Palm Beach County. Cardenas joined BankUnited in 2006 as regional president for the Broward, Palm Beach and Treasure Coast region. In his new role he will assume responsibilities for expanding private banking client relationships in the region.

  Eva Clementi has been named senior vice president of bank operations for BankUnited. She joins BankUnited from Eastern Financial Florida Credit Union where she was senior vice president in the retail division.

 Michael L. Lepera has been named vice president and private banker for BankUnited. He will be based in the downtown Fort Lauderdale office. He joins BankUnited from PNC Bank, where he served as senior vice president.

Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust names Senior VP

 Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust has named Hans C. Mueller as senior vice president, business development officer in Miami-Dade County. Most recently, Mueller was senior vice president, commercial lending at Coconut Grove Bank.

Marquis Bank names chairman, CEO

 The board of directors of North Miami Beach-based Marquis Bank has named Javier J. Holtz chairman and chief executive. Holtz was most recently president of Capital Factors, Inc.

Signature Flight Support Corp. appoints COO

 Signature Flight Support Corp. has appointed Maria Sastre as chief operating officer for its global operations. Sastre will be responsible for the daily operations of Signature's worldwide network of fixed-base operations and will be based at Signature's headquarters in Orlando. Sastre joins Signature from the nonprofit  organization Take Stock in Children where she served as president and chief executive.

Historical Museum of Southern Florida names board member

 Jay Pelham, executive vice president of private banking, has been named to the board of trustees of the Historical Museum of Southern Florida. Pelham leads the private banking operations for all of Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust's locations.

Cole, Scott and Kissane appoints partner

 Cole, Scott and Kissane has hired former Broward County Circuit Court Judge Ana Gardiner to join their civil trial practice as a partner. In her new position, Gardiner will be responsible for overseeing the growth of the Fort Lauderdale office.

Florida Bar Board of Governors names member

 Leslie Lott, founder of intellectual property law firm Lott & Friedland, has been elected to the statewide Florida Bar Board of Governors. The board is responsible for the governance of the Florida Bar.

Katzman Garfinkel & Berger appoints HR Director

 Katzman Garfinkel & Berger has named Patricia Del Valle as the firm's director of human resources. She will handle personnel matters for the firm. Most recently, Del Valle served as director of human resources with Rosemont Farms in Boca Raton.
