Cyclone Power Technologies names CFO

The Wolfsonian-FIU Advisory Board appoints chairman

Mkreitzer  Michael N. Kreitzer, litigation group chair and partner at law firm Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod, has been appointed as the chairman of The Wolfsonian-FIU Advisory Board. Kreitzer will be responsible for helping ensure the ongoing sustainability of the museum.

Tannebaum  Brian Tannebaum of Miami has been named president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Tannebaum is a former assistant public defender, and has been practicing criminal defense since 1995.

Florida Legal Services names president-elect

Dan Thompson NEW lo-res  Daniel H. Thompson, a shareholder with law firm Berger Singerman, has been named president-elect of Florida Legal Services, a nonprofit organization founded in 1973 to provide civil legal assistance to indigent persons who would not otherwise have the means to obtain a lawyer.

Broward Health names CFO

Martin  Broward Health has named Robert K. Martin as chief financial officer. He will be responsible for overseeing the strategic financial operations for Broward Health. Martin most recently served as system vice-president of finance with the Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, Ohio.

Lisa Jo Desmarteau  Miami Jewish Health Systems has named Lisa Jo Desmarteau as its chief financial officer. Desmarteau will oversee financial planning, fiscal policy, budgeting and financial reporting for the nonprofit healthcare organization. She previously served as chief financial officer for Joseph L. Morse Geriatric Center in Palm  Beach County.

Aetna names chairman of Miami advisory council

Aetna has named Aida Levitan chairman of its Miami advisory council. The council recently expanded its activities to include outreach to Hispanic groups across the United States. Levitan is president of The Levitan Group, a firm that provides community relations and consulting services.
