Miami-based Ryder System has promoted Cristina Gallo-Aquino to vice president and controller. She
was assistant controller responsible for Ryder's corporate, benefits and payroll
accounting departments. Gallo-Aquino replaces Art A. Garcia, who was recently promoted to executive vice president and chief financial officer.
In her new position, Gallo-Aquino serves as Ryder's principal accounting officer and is responsible for corporate accounting and planning, internal and external financial reporting, vehicle administration, as well as accounting for insurance, benefits, payroll and sales taxes. Gallo-Aquino will continue to serve as a member of Ryder's Diversity and Inclusion Council.
Gallo-Aquino joined Ryder from LNR Property in 2004.
