Dr. Jan Bellows has been elected president of the American Veterinary Dental College. Bellows, a veterinary dentist, owns and operates All Pets Dental in Weston.

Prior to joining McKinley, Miller was a senior group benefit representative for HIP Health Plan of Florida.

UM Miller School of Medicine names vice chairman

Josh Yelen has been promoted to vice chairman for administration in the Department of Pathology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He most recently served as director of the Office of Special Programs and Resource Strategy at the Miller School of Medicine.

 

BankUnited appoints vice president

BankUnited has named Suzanne Ross senior vice president and Bank Secrecy Act officer. She will oversee BankUnited's BSA, anti-money laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control compliance activities. Ross joins BankUnited from Sabadell United Bank Miami, where she was senior vice president and chief compliance officer.

American Airlines names director for Mexico

Marvin Díaz has been named managing director for Mexico by American Airlines. Díaz will be responsible for operations at the 14 destinations American serves in the country. He will also be responsible for the two reservations centers American operates in the country. Most recently, he served as American's managing director of finance for the Mexico, Caribbean and Latin American region.

 

The Jeffrey Group names president

Mike Valdes-Fauli been named president of The Jeffrey Group, a Latin-focused integrated communications agency. Valdes-Fauli has risen through the firm from account manager to president in six years.
