Ronald A. Kriss has been named managing partner of the Miami office of Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, a national firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami. Manny Fernandez, who has served as the managing partner of the firm's Miami office for the last seven years, will continue to chair Stroock’s real estate practice. Kriss joined Stroock in Nov. 2010 from Akerman Senterfitt. He is chairman of the firm’s national distressed real estate practice, which focuses primarily on the representation of lenders in connection with the enforcement and work-out of defaulted commercial real estate loans, and the representation of investors in connection with the purchase of such loans.
