Daniel Quezada promoted to VP of finance at CareCloud
Daniel Quezada has been promoted to vice president of finance at CareCloud, a Miami-based provider of online tools for medical offices to manage financial and administrative work. He will be responsible for overseeing corporate finance and accounting functions, including treasury, planning, analysis and financial reporting. Dr. Harriet Myers has been named dean of the new Chamberlain College of Nursing in Miramar. She has 40 years of experience in the healthcare industry, including practice, instruction and research. She was associate dean of student affairs, associate professor of behavioral sciences and director of the Academic Success Program for Ross University School of Medicine. At the University of Alabama, she taught in Capstone College of Nursing, School of Medicine – Tuscaloosa Branch, and the doctoral program of clinical psychology. She also is a registered nurse and a licensed psychologist.

Barbara Iris Ortega has been named vice president and chief internal auditor at Pacific National Bank in Miami. She will be responsible for ensuring that the bank abides by auditing and accounting best practices and will work closely with federal regulators who routinely monitor the institution. She was senior vice president and audit manager for Lloyds Bank Group in Miami, which she joined in 1997. Before that, she spent four years as an international bank examiner with the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Ramon Tebar named artistic director of Florida Grand Opera
Ramon Tebar has been named music director of Florida Grand Opera. He will provide an artistic vision, watching over the musical integrity and performance level of the orchestra, chorus and singers. He also will provide artistic planning advice and recommend singers for upcoming seasons. The Spanish conductor was music director for the Palm Beach Symphony, where he debuted as resident conductor in 2009.
Steve Cawley named vice president, information technology and CIO at The University of Miami
Steve Cawley has been named vice president for information technology and chief information officer (CIO) at The University of Miami. In his new position, he will provide leadership and vision for all aspects of information technology, including the establishment of policies and the deployment of hardware and software. Before joining UM, he was with the University of Minnesota, serving was vice president and CIO for the main Twin Cities campus and CIO of the University of Minnesota System.
