Broward College promotes, hires new administrators

Broward College has hired or promoted new administrators to its management team at the college.

Linda Howdyshel Linda Howdyshell has been named college provost and senior vice president for academics and student success. In her new role, she will provide overall direction and coordination of the "one-college" approach to serving students and the community and will be responsible for overall leadership for all academic and student affairs areas at the college. She came to Broward College from Chaffey College in California, where she served as vice president and chief administrative officer.

 

 

Gregory Adam Haile Gregory Adam Haile has been named vice president of governmental policy and regulatory affairs. He comes to Broward College after a decade of service at several law firms including, most recently, Berger Singerman in Fort Lauderdale. He also serves as chairman of the board of 2-1-1 Broward, and also serves on the board of the Broward Cultural Foundation.

 

 

Aileen Izquierdo Aileen Izquierdo has been named vice president for public affairs and marketing. She will be responsible for developing and managing the strategies and initiatives for communicating the College's mission to internal and external audiences. She was vice president for communications and marketing at Florida Atlantic University and also worked in the media relations department at Florida International University.

 

 

 

Sean Madison Sean Madison has been named campus president for the Judson A. Samuels South Campus. He comes to Broward College from Miami Dade College, where he served 17 years in several positions, including tenured faculty member, department chairman, dean of academic affairs, and district senior administrator for learning outcomes assessment. 

 

 

 

Mercedes Quiroga Mercedes Quiroga has been named campus president for the A. Hugh Adams Central Campus. She comes to Broward College from Miami Dade College, where she served for more than 20 years in several positions, including director of student retention; chairperson, department of arts and philosophy; provost and CEO, New World School of the Arts. Most recently, she was president MDC, Wolfson Campus.
