Gregory Kurth is has been named president and chief executive officer of Kids In Distress of Broward and Palm Beach counties, replacing Thomas J. Tomczyk who is retiring after serving as the president and CEO since 1996. Kurth will oversee the agency, which works toward the prevention of child abuse, preservation of the family, and the care and treatment of abused and neglected children. An experienced social services executive, he was CEO of Family Services of Metro Orlando, a community-based agency that manages all services for families involved with child protection in two counties. He also was senior vice president of One Hope United in Chicago.
