Dana Fernety named executive director of the Doral Business Council
Dana Fernety has been named executive director of the Doral Business Council (DBC), a business development organization in Doral. He will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the DBC. Before joining the DBC, he was the vice president and special assistant to the president and chief executive officer of the Beacon Council, where he led the council’s advocacy program, managed day-to-day operations of the president/CEO’s office, and developed an in-house marketing and communications department.
Alysa George, Rene Lopez named to executive posts at Continental Real Estate Companies
Alysa George has been named director of marketing and Rene Lopez has been named human resources manager at Continental Real Estate Companies (CREC), a commercial real estate services firm.
George will head the firm's statewide marketing initiatives and promotions and events for CREC's client base. Before joining CREC, she served as marketing manager for RSR Group, Inc., a sporting goods merchandise company based in Central Florida.
Lopez will oversee employee relations, recruitment and development and supervising employee education programs. Before joining CREC, he was human resources manager for BUPA Worldwide in Miami.

Denaye Hinds has been named the Miami-Dade Branch Programs Chair for the U.S. Green Building Council South Florida Chapter. She is director of sustainability with OBM International, an international architectural and planning firm. As chair of the USGBC, she will oversee the creation of sustainability programs to assist in educating USGBC and community members about green building requirements, new technologies and trends in the marketplace. At OBMI, she leads the company’s international design and planning sustainability practice, focusing on engaging the development community, and federal and local governments, to promote sustainability objectives for OBMI’s clients.
Robert Festinger promoted to CEO at Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort in Sunny Isles Beach
Robert Festinger has been promoted to chief operating officer at the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort in Sunny Isles Beach. He will oversee the day to day operations of the Newport Group; Kitchen 305, Seven Seas Aveda Spa & Salon, Newport Marketing, Newport Hospitality and Newport Vacation Club.
