Imperial Tobacco Group PLC, a United Kingdom-based international tobacco company, has named Kevin Freudenthal region director - Americas and president and chief executive officer of Commonwealth - Altadis, Inc., headquartered in Fort Lauderdale. Before joining Imperial, he was vice president for category management for Altria Group and had a long sales and marketing career in executive positions at U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Co. from 1986 to 2008.
