Visit Florida, the official tourism marketing corporation for Florida, has named two South Florida tourism leaders to national positions.
Christine Duffy, president and CEO at Cruise Lines International Association, will serve on the U.S. Travel Association Executive Committee.
Olga Ramudo, president and CEO of Express Travel in Miami, will serve on the U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board.
John Hallock has been named vice president of corporate communications at CareCloud, a Miami-based provider of cloud-based practice management, medical billing and electronic health record software and services to medical groups. He will oversee CareCloud’s strategic communication and public relations programs and bolster the company’s awareness and branding efforts. Before joining CareCloud, he was director of global corporate communications for Athenahealth Inc.
Manu Leila Davidson has been named a partner at the Miami office of Rumberger, Kirk & Caldwell. She practices product liability, commercial/business litigation, insurance coverage, appellate, casualty and employment matters in state and federal courts. She represents manufacturers of recreational vehicles and industrial equipment in matters involving catastrophic injuries. She also represents corporate clients in various commercial matters, including construction, commercial landlord-tenant and breach-of-contract disputes.
Steven A. Cohen has joined Sabadell United Bank, N.A. as senior vice president, commercial real estate. He will be based in Miami and will be responsible for building and managing the commercial real estate banking business throughout the company’s Florida-wide marketplace. Before joining Sabadell, he spent 24 years at SunTrust, working in production and management roles, predominantly in the real estate finance business, throughout Florida.
Nikole Sanchez-Rubiera has been promoted to vice president of transformation at Miami Children’s Hospital. She will oversee the project management office, architecture and design, and facilities operations departments. She has been with Miami Children’s Hospital for 12 years and has held various positions, most recently directing the project management office.
Maria Priovolos Gonzalez and Spencer Tew have each been promoted to partner at Tew Cardenas LLP in Miami. Gonzalez concentrates her practice on complex commercial litigation matters and represents individuals and corporate clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts, primarily in class actions, corporate and contract disputes, legal and accounting malpractice, fraud, bankruptcy, and land-use litigation.
Tew focuses his practice on commercial litigation matters in federal and state trial and appellate courts, and represents individuals and corporate clients in various business disputes, including real estate and construction litigation, securities and financial services litigation, white-collar criminal defense, SEC civil enforcement actions, and class actions.
Dennis C. Cooke has been promoted to president of Global Fleet Management Solutions (FMS) at Ryder System, Inc. He will be responsible for leading all areas of global business operations for the company’s largest business segment. He was senior vice president, chief of operations for FMS in the U.S. and Canada. He joined Ryder in 2011, following a 22-year career with GE and related companies.
Patricia Delinois has been named residential president of the Miami Association of Realtors. She is president, CEO, and owner of Century 21 Premier Elite Realty in Miami. She is a director for the National Association of Realtors and Florida Realtors and a founding member of the Master Brokers Forum.
John D’Angelo has joined CJones & Associates Public Relations as vice president and business development manager. He will oversee the firm’s daily operations while developing marketing strategies for local, national, and international clients.
Manuel Martínez has been named president and general manager of NBC 6 Miami / WTVJ, an NBC network-owned television station. He was president and general manager of Telemundo 51 / WSCV in Miami, before joining NBC 6. Before joining Telemundo 51, he was vice president and general manager of Telemundo 47 / WNJU.
