Bonnie Schaefer has been named the new president of the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation. She is the former co-chief executive officer and co-chair of the board of directors of Claire's Stores, Inc. She succeeds Miami Beach attorney Mark H. Hildebrandt as foundation president. She has been actively involved with Mount Sinai in several roles, including serving on the hospital's executive board of trustees. She is the current owner of Westglow Resort & Spa and of Rowland's restaurant, a dining establishment that she opened in honor of her father.
Vanessa Conde has been named vice president of marketing at Dr. G’s Franchising Companies, LLC, the parent company of Dr. G’s Weight Loss & Wellness. She will oversee the advertising, creative, media buying, public relations, marketing and website development for the company. She also will oversee Dr. G’s first regional billboard campaign throughout South Florida. For the past six years, she was vice president of operations and marketing for Krieger Watch Corporation in Miami Beach. Doured Daghistani has been named vice president of the Baptist Hospital medical staff. He is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist and served as secretary/treasurer from 2008-2011. He also serves as medical director of pediatric oncology, and is chairman of Baptist Children's Hospital executive board. He has been on staff at Baptist Hospital since 1992.
Dr. Jill M. Sumfest has been promoted to vice president and chief medical officer of Humana South Florida. She will be based in Miramar and will be responsible for clinical operations, care management and quality improvement for the company's South Florida Medicare and Medicaid operations. She joined Humana in April 2007 as market medical officer for South Florida commercial operations. In Nov. 2009, she was named Humana's regional market medical officer for Florida and Texas commercial operations.

David Carroll has been named senior vice president of human resources for gaming operations of the Seminole Tribe of Florida. He will oversee recruiting and retention, team member training, and management of employee benefits for the Seminole Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos in Tampa and Hollywood. He also will direct the human resources function at the five Seminole Tribe casinos in Hollywood, Coconut Creek, in Immokalee near Naples, on the Brighton Reservation north of Lake Okeechobee and on the Big Cypress Reservation south of Lake Okeechobee. He has worked with Harrah's Entertainment, Horseshoe Gaming and Wynn Las Vegas. He most recently was senior vice president of human resources for Majestic Star Casinos in Las Vegas. Before moving into the gaming industry, he was corporate recruiting manager at Southwest Airlines and Continental (now United) Airlines.
