Kathy Walkerow-Ivanov has been promoted to senior vice president of administration at Fleet Advantage, a truck fleet business analytics and equipment financing company based in Fort Lauderdale. She will be responsible for overseeing all Fleet Advantage transactions from initial award to final equipment in-servicing. Before joining the company, she worked in the titling and registration division of First Fleet Corporation. She also worked in the firm's lease documentation department.
Natalie Pita-Ortiz has been promoted to assistant vice president of supply chain strategic projects for Baptist Health South Florida. She will be responsible for directing clinical resource management for surgery, imaging and cardiovascular departments, and assessing supply chain processes. She joined Baptist Health in 1997 as an inventory/service contract buyer. She recently served as corporate director of supply chain strategic projects. She also has served as chair of the surgical services products review committee for Baptist Health.
Jennifer Swanson has been named vice president of accounting at Sunrise-based Sheridan Healthcare, Inc. She will oversee the financial and reporting, treasury, cash management, payroll and accounts payable functions. Before joining Sheridan Healthcare, she was vice president of accounting for Nipro Diagnostics, director of financial reporting for Republic Services, senior manager of finance for Sunglass Hut and an audit manager with Arthur Andersen LLP. Sheridan Healthcare is a hospital-based, practice management company and an anesthesia services provider.
Floyd Goodson has been named vice president, merchant sales specialist in the treasury management department of City National Bank of Florida (CNB). He will be headquartered at the bank's Brickell office. Before joining CNB, he was vice president of merchant services for Wells Fargo in Florida in commercial, government, auto finance, and healthcare segments. Before that, he was treasury sales officer in the Miami-Dade market for Wachovia and also was a business development officer for American Express for 10 years.
Daniel C. Eggland has joined Bank of Coral Gables as president and chief operating officer. He will be responsible for establishing a stronger fiscal foundation and positioning the bank for future growth. Before joining Bank of Coral Gables, he was president and chief administrative officer at Sunstate Bank. Before that, he had been instrumental in founding Metro Bank, and before that, he served as president and CEO of Coconut Grove Bank.
Debbie Kohl has joined the board of commissioners that governs the North Broward Hospital District. She will serve through May 2014. She is the executive vice president/chief financial officer of Broward Bank of Commerce in Fort Lauderdale. She was previously senior vice president and controller at the Union Bank of Florida in Plantation, vice president of accounting and finance at Fort Lauderdale's Capital Business Credit and chief financial officer of First Choice Credit Union in West Palm Beach.
Cheryse Burgos Santos has been promoted to assistant vice president of managed care for Baptist Health South Florida. She will be responsible for analyzing and negotiating managed care contracts for all Baptist Health facilities and physicians. She also will oversee the managed care team, decision support, the corporate pricing office and international services pricing. She has been an employee since 2004. Before the promotion, she was director of managed care. Before joining Baptist Health, she worked as director of physician relations at Mount Sinai Hospital of Queens, and in managed care at Continuum Health Partners and other healthcare companies in New York.
Julio A. Gomes has joined Sabadell Americas in Miami as executive vice president, chief strategy officer for the entire Sabadell Americas organization. In his new position, he will help develop the infrastructure, people, systems, processes and tools to enable the company to continue to grow in the future. Most recently, he was a senior executive at Wal-Mart Latin America. Before that, he worked with UNIBANCO in Brazil, where he was the COO and the CIO. He also worked at two consulting firms, McKinsey & Company and The Boston Consulting Group.
