Loretta Echols joins Oceania Cruises

Oceania Cruises has named Loretta Echols as regional sales director for the Southeast region, which includes northern Florida and the Panhandle, Louisiana, the Carolinas, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee. Before joining Oceania Cruises, Echols was the district sales manager of the Southeast region at Crystal Cruises for 12 years. She has also served as district sales manager of the Tampa Bay area for Holland America and Windstar Cruises, and district sales manager of the west coast of Florida for Premier Cruise Line.

Claudia Sacasa joins MDW Insurance Group

MDW Insurance Group has named Claudia Sacasa as commercial lines account manager. Sacasa has more than 10 years of professional insurance experience. Before joining MDW, she served as an account manager at Arthur J. Gallagher Insurance. In her new role, she will be responsible for client service management, knowledge of market conditions and competitors’ products, verification of policies, and communication between clients and carriers. 

Nick Richberg joins Vortex International Realty

Nick Richberg was named vice president associate broker and director of the residential division at Vortex International Realty. Before joining the company, Richberg was a senior associate at Citi Habitats, the sister company of Corcoran Group. At Citi Habitats, he dealt with New York City’s real estate market.

Jared Brunnabend joins Vortex International Realty

Vortex International Realty has named Jared Brunnabend as vice president sales associate and director of the commercial real estate division. Most recently, Brunnabend was vice president at Greenstreet Real Estate Partners in Coconut Grove, where he worked for seven years. He has more than 13 years of experience in commercial real estate.

Studley promotes Mike Hopper

Mike Hopper has been promoted to managing director at Studley, an international commercial real estate services firm. Hopper, who joined the firm’s South Florida office in 2005, earned a bachelor’s in marketing management from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. With Studley, he has executed more than 1 million square feet of transactions. 

Dr. Eneida Roldan joins FIU's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine

Dr. Eneida Roldan was named assistant dean for student affairs at Florida International University’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. Roldan, who has more than 30 years experience in the healthcare industry, has served as the president and chief executive officer of the Public Health Trust and Jackson Health System. She has also worked with the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine’s Department of Pathology and MD-PhD program as assistant clinical professor.

H. Ruben Weisson joins Morgan Stanley Smith Barney

H. Ruben Weisson has joined Morgan Stanley Smith Barney’s Aventura office as vice president, financial advisor and portfolio manager. Weisson joins the financial services firm after working with Merrill Lynch for 16 years. He graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor’s in finance. 

Gannett Fleming names David B. Thomas as director of Southeast region

Gannett Fleming, a global infrastructure firm, has named David B. Thomas as director of the Southeast region. In addition to his new role, he is the firm’s senior vice president, serves as the national director of transit and rail, and is a member of its board of directors. Thomas, who has more than 38 years of experience in leadership positions, earned a bachelor’s at the University of Georgia and a master’s in business administration at St. Mary’s College. 

FirstBank Florida names Elisa Robles vice president branch manager

FirstBank Florida has named Elisa Robles as vice president branch manager for its new branch in Hialeah, which opens in September. Robles, who came to the U.S. in 1968 from Cuba, started in banking as a teller at Flagship Bank. She later became a member of bank operations and then a branch manager for Caribank, which is now Citibank. 

Drew Saito joins First Southern Bank

Drew Saito was named senior vice president and commercial lender at First Southern Bank. Saito is also an adjunct faculty member at the Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University. Before joining First Southern Bank, he held the position of senior vice president and relationship manager at CNL Bank for more than five years. He has also served as assistant vice president with Regions Bank.
