What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?: “The best advice I’ve ever received came from my favorite professor and mentor in college, Deanna Pelfrey; a woman who before teaching ran a very successful public relations agency in Louisville for many years. She told me that despite how far women have come today, always keep in mind that the business world is still predominantly run by men. She noted that the biggest mistake many women make is to sell themselves short of their worth. She taught me to always know my value and never settle for less than my worth, a principle I apply both in my professional and personal life.”
