What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?: “There is one story that happened to me and somehow defined my life. When I was a teenager, a friend of my father’s taught me how to sail a small sailboat in a Brazilian beach called Ubatuba. When I arrived at the beach, eager to start sailing, I started pulling the boat to the water right away. He stopped me and said that I would need to learn some basic principles before. He then started to draw lines on the sand to show how the wind would move the boat. The quote that marked me the most was when he said, ‘In sailing, like in life, you gotta focus on an objective, a destination, otherwise the wind will take you, not necessarily to the place you were expecting.’”
