Ian Reisner has been named vice president of sales for Porsche Design Tower Miami. He has worked as vice president of sales at Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences. Reisner earned a bachelor’s in business and real estate from Binghamton University, SUNY.
EarthLink, Inc., has named Joe Monaco as director of sales for Florida. Before joining the company, he was general manager of the South Florida region for Level 3 Communications. He has also served as regional vice president of Florida sales at Deltacom.
Romina Nabhen has been named fashion and Fifth Avenue Club director at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland. She has worked at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland before. In 2008, she was the fashion director. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing all public relations, special events, trend presentations and fashion show productions. She has also held positions at FENDI Casa and Conde Nast.
Rey Melendi has joined 13th Floor Investments as chief operating officer and partner. Before joining the firm, he was director of REO (real estate owned) at Rialto Capital Management. He has also held senior-level positions at Lennar.
Kelly Coughlin Casey has been named vice president of client services at Zucker Public Relations. She has worked in the industry for more than 10 years. She has experience in building national advertising and public relations platforms as well as negotiating and creating national media and sports/entertainment sponsorships. She earned a bachelor’s in communication from Boston College.
Sandra Fine has been named president of Public Relations Society of America’s Miami Chapter. She has been a member since 2008 and is also the vice president of rbb Public Relations. Fine is the fourth member of rbb Public Relations to lead a local PRSA Chapter.
Rafael Ribeiro has been promoted to litigation partner Bilzin Sumberg. He joined the firm in 2012. He is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association and an executive council member of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar. He earned a J.D. from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law.
Javier Avino has recently been promoted at Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP as a government relations and land development group partner. He received a J.D. from the University of Miami’s School of Law and is a member of the Cuban American Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Urban Land Institute. He is also a board member of the Latin Builders Association.
Julius Kazen has been named director of hotel operations at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. He has more than 30 years of experience in hospitality and mangement. Before joining the company, he was working at the Spa Resort Casino, which is operated by Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians in Palm Springs, Calif. He has also worked at the Las Vegas Hilton in several positions, including vice president for hotel operations.
Lourdes Rivas has been named CEO of Simply Healthcare Plans. Before this promotion, she was the company’s chief operating officer. Rivas has more than 15 years of experience in the industry. She has also served as regional vice president for DentaQuest and COO for Atlantic Dental.
