The Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau has named Fernando Harb as vice president of tourism sales. He has worked with the company since 2007, handling domestic sales and supporting the international market. He successfully launched Greater Fort Lauderdale as the first U.S. destination in the Virtuoso luxury travel tourism program.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Southern Florida Chapter has named Ana Vento and Matthew Sacco as co-chairs for the 2013 Man & Woman of the Year Fort Lauderdale campaign. Vento is the president of events at Vento Designs and was named LLS Fort Lauderdale Woman of the Year in 2011. Sacco serves as the vice president of communications and public affairs at Sunrise Sports & Entertainment and the Florida Panthers Hockey Club.
Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs LLP has named Mark Osherow as a partner in the litigation practice group. Before joining the firm, he was a partner at Katz Barron Squitero & Faust. He is a Florida Bar Board-certified specialist in business litigation. Osherow is the incoming treasurer of the South Palm Beach County Bar Association. He has served on the board for eight years.

Plaza Construction has named Alexander Smith Jr. as vice president of operations. He has 17 years of experience in Florida construction. Smith is also a member of the executive management team.
Also at Plaza Construction, Louis Darder was named senior project manager in operations and management. He has 23 years of experience in South Florida construction. Darder is a Florida-certified general contractor.
Christian de Gale was named project manager at Plaza Construction in operations and management. He has nine years of experience in South Florida construction. He is currently assigned to the 42-story Millecento Residences by Pininfarina.
Plaza Construction has also named Thomas C. Lamp Sr. as project superintendent in operations and management. He has 40 years of experience including more than $400 million of South Florida construction.
Christopher Buscaglia has been named project manager in operations and management at Plaza Construction. He has 18 years of experience in fine quality construction. He will be working with the firm’s interiors division.
Paul O’Dell has been named director of the Miami Springs Golf and Country Club. He has more than 25 years of experience in golf industry marketing and administration throughout the South. He has worked at several country clubs including High Vista Country Club, Doral Park Country Club and Turnberry Isle Resort and Club.
