Stanley Wilson has been named dean of Nova Southeastern University’s College of Healthcare Sciences. He previously was associate dean for academic affairs, associate dean for rehabilitation services and chair of the physical therapy department. Also previously, he was associate professor and chair of the physical therapy department at Howard University in Washington, D.C., and assistant professor in the physical therapy department at Florida International University. He received his bachelor’s of science in physical therapy from Howard University, his master’s in healthcare management from St. Thomas University in Miami Gardens, and his doctorate in adult education and human resource development from FIU.
The best advice he ever received: ‘As a leader, grasp every opportunity to learn from others by embracing an attitude of dogged curiosity. Be humble enough to stoop low and courageous enough to reach high.’
