Melanie Jolles, vice president and private banker at Bank United/yacht-lending program

Melanie Jolles has been named president and private banker at Bank United overseeing the bank’s yacht lending program. In this new position, Jolles will be responsible for further developing BankUnited’s yacht lending program as an extension of its private banking services. She will work out of the downtown Fort Lauderdale branch. She has spent the past 12 years focused on luxury yacht financing. She most recently served as national sales manager for Scott Financial Services in Fort Lauderdale, a subsidiary of Société Générale. She is a frequent presenter for the Florida Yacht Broker Association, educating the yacht industry on changes in marine lending. She attended Florida Institute of Technology and has an associate's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.

The best advice she Melanie Jolles ever had: ‘Believe in yourself, find your mountain and climb it, even if you have to move it a few times.’
