Best advice: ‘While serving as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, I learned that if you need something done, you need to be proactive rather than asking people to come to you. Get up and go directly to the person who can help you, whether it be a technician, an office services staff member, a colleague or even a client. This will allow that person to showcase their expertise and shows that you are genuinely interested in their help. Not to mention, you will get what you need much faster.’
