Arnie Harrison has been named director of risk management at Miami Jewish Health Systems. Previously, he was director of risk management at High Point Treatment Center in Cooper City. He has a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Florida and two master’s degrees -- in health services administration, and risk management law and procedure -- from Florida International University.
New position: Regional president, Humana. He oversees all Florida-based medical centers including CAC, MetCare and Continucare. Kent will also continue to be CEO.
Experience: He began his career with Humana in 2004. His experience included designing and implementing one of the first fully electronic medical record systems in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties at the time. He later held strategic roles at Humana’scorporate headquarters in Louisville, Ky., and also held positions in Ohio.
Achievement: Under Kent’s leadership, CAC has grown to 19 full-service, multi-specialty medical centers, expanding its South Florida presence into Broward County, opening two new centers in Tampa and increasing its Orlando footprint to three centers.
Best advice he ever received: “The best advice was from my grandfather, given to him by his father: ‘Any day as the sun rises and sets in which you haven’t done something positive to move the ball forward for yourself, your family, or your community, you’ve wasted a day!’ In other words, always strive to get better by working hard, every day!”
David Green has been named assistant vice president of advancement at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts ofMiami-Dade County. He will be responsible for developing and advancing major gift initiatives. Before joining Arsht, he was executive director for the University of Miami’s Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. Green has a bachelor’s in the history of art and architecture, and an MBA, from Harvard.
Janet Henfield has been named vice president and Aventura market manager at Marquis Bank. She will be responsible for developing the bank’s presence in the Aventura, Golden Beach and Sunny Isles Beach markets. Most recently she served as vice president and relationship manager at Bank Leumi in Aventura. She has a bachelor’s in finance with a minor in international business, and a Professional MBA in international business, from Florida International University.
