Espírito Santo Bank has announced these appointments to its executive team: Rafael Madan as senior vice president/head of wealth management; Carlos Modia as chief financial officer; and Andrew Methven as chief operating officer. Madan was most recently the managing director of Wells Fargo Advisors in Miami. He is a graduate of Florida State University. Modia had been the bank’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. Methven had been with the Royal Bank of Canada, most recently as the head of operations and technology in Miami for RBC - International Wealth Management. He holds a bachelor of commerce from Queen’s University in Ontario and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
TotalBank has named Janessa Cabo, left, vice president and managing director, and Rebecca Chi as assistant vice president and sales director, as the new management team for its Doral Plaza Banking Center. Cabo previously was with BankUnited, where she most recently held the position of branch manager/hub manager, responsible for three locations. She has a bachelor’s in business administration from Florida International University with a major in finance. Chi was also previously with BankUnited, where she was assistant branch manager. She has an associate degree from Miami-Dade College.
Melanie Jolles has been named president and private banker at Bank United overseeing the bank’s yacht lending program. In this new position, Jolles will be responsible for further developing BankUnited’s yacht lending program as an extension of its private banking services. She will work out of the downtown Fort Lauderdale branch. She has spent the past 12 years focused on luxury yacht financing. She most recently served as national sales manager for Scott Financial Services in Fort Lauderdale, a subsidiary of Société Générale. She is a frequent presenter for the Florida Yacht Broker Association, educating the yacht industry on changes in marine lending. She attended Florida Institute of Technology and has an associate's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.
