Mike Murkowski promoted to senior vice president of operations for South America at FedEx LAC

Mike Murkowski was recently promoted to senior vice president of operations South America for FedEx LAC. Before his promotion, he worked as vice president of marketing, customer service, technology, and customer experience. In his new role, Murkowski will be responsible for overseeing operations of FedEx Express in South America, Central America and the Caribbean.

Bryan Kornegay, Jr. and Juan Manuel Vazquez join BioNitrogen Corp.'s Board of Directors

BioNitrogen Corp., has named Bryan Kornegay, Jr. and Juan Manuel Vazquez to its board of directors. Vazquez will hold the position of director, while Kornegay was also names CFO. Kornegay has 17 years of experience in accounting, finance, and private equity, including work with private equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. Vazquez has 12 years of experience in private equity and finance. Previously, he was a buy-side analyst covering banks, financial services, industrial and utilities companies.

Mark Young named a senior partner at Lead Professionals

Mark E. Young has joined Lead Professionals, a global executive search firm headquartered in Miami, as senior partner. He will oversee the company’s executive search and business development operations in the U.S. and Canada. Before joining Lead Professionals, he served for 13 years in executive management positions in the Miami offices of two national executive search firms. 

Mariela Geier, Jacqueline Bueno Sousa named directors at i2 Integrity International

Mariela Geier and Jacqueline Bueno Sousa have been named directors of the recently opened Miami office of i2 Integrity International, a business-intelligence consulting firm.

Geier will serve as managing director. Before joining i2 Integrity, she worked at FTI Consulting as country manager for Spain.

 

 

 

 

Sousa, who will serve as director, has more than 20 years experience researching and investigating companies, executives and industry sectors, including energy, media, construction, trade and finance. Before joining i2, she was editor for the Miami Herald, an executive editor with American Lawyer Media and a writer with The Wall Street Journal.

Melissa Holland named director of Manchester Business School's Miami Center

Manchester Business School has named Melissa Holland as the new director of its Miami Center in Downtown Miami. In her role, she will be responsible for the overall operations, program administration, student recruitment and business development. Before joining Manchester Business School, she was director of MBA programs at Georgia Southern University, with responsibility for recruiting, admissions, student services, alumni relations and new program development. Earlier in her career, she was a vice president at Rabobank International, where she specialized in underwriting large corporate senior debt transactions for companies in the food and agriculture industry. She also worked at GE Capital and SunTrust Bank, where she was an underwriter of debt and equity transactions to the media and telecommunications industry.
