Board member with the British American Chamber of Commerce

Executive director of the Broward County Chamber of Commerce

Board member at the British-American Chamber of Commerce

Web_hal_lewisHarold Lewis, a partner at the law firm of Pathman Lewis, has been elected to the board of directors of the British-American Chamber of Commerce.  He has been a member of the chamber for three years. 

The chamber serves the business interests between the UK and South Florida, focusing on business activities across the North Atlantic. In recent years, the chamber has broadened its role to include business development opportunities between the UK, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Nubielena Medina, Principal of NMG Consulting, has been elected as the 2008 chairperson for the Doral Business Council. At the same time, City of Doral Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez appointed her to his first International Business Affairs Advisory Board.

Nubielena Medina, principal of NMG Consulting, has been elected chair for the Doral Business Council.

The council is the advocate for economic development and business promotion for the City of Doral and surrounding areas. She is a founding member of the council.

Senior vice president at Enterprise Florida

Web_al_latimerAl Latimer has been appointed senior vice president of Enterprise Florida’s External Affairs and Investor Relations division, succeeding Chris Hart IV, who recently assumed the president and chief executive role at Workforce Florida.

The division oversees Enterprise Florida’s investor recruitment and retention efforts, involvement with partner economic development organizations, government relations, military and defense programs and corporate communications.

Latimer, 50, previously was a division vice president responsible for economic development government, legislative and partner/stakeholder relations.

Board member at Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce

Movers_marlene_gordonMarlene Gordon, Burger King vice president and assistant general counsel, has joined the board of directors of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce. She will assist the board of directors in planning the chamber's programs and initiatives.

Founded in 1974, the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce provides technical assistance in business development, promotion of trade missions and networking opportunities at business-related forums and leaders exchange events.

COO and CFO at The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce

Karen E. Echols has been appointed to chief operating officer and chief financial officer of The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. She will begin her new position on January 7.

She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and Finance Committee for the chamber. She also served as chair of the chamber’s Senior Executive Orientation Program and as a member of the Nonprofit Business Committee.

She comes to the Chamber from Friends of WLRN, where she served as executive vice president and chief financial officer.
