Alexander Smith, Jr., has been named vice president and project executive at Moss & Associates construction management. His duties include project management, development and implementation of scheduling and logistics, and overseeing cost, quality and safety control, contract administration, and owner and subcontractor negotiations. Before, he was vice president of operations for the Plaza Construction Group of Florida in Miami. He received a bachelor of science in building construction from the M.E. Rinker, Sr. School of Building Construction at the University of Florida. He was an in-flight instructor while in the United States Air Force.
Best advice he ever received: “My father always told to me to be fair in dealing with people. Do not play favorites. You can work with people you enjoy, but that should never mean giving them preferential treatment. I have tried to continue that logic throughout my career.”
Kenneth Gross, bottom top left, has been appointed project executive. He holds a degree from American University.

Chris Lipke, top left, has been named senior project manager at Plaza Construction. He is currently assigned to 1 Hotel & Homes South Beach, a premier $100 million beachfront redevelopment. Lipke earned a bachelor’s in building construction from the University of Florida.
Liliana Narciso has been named controller of Lynx Construction Management, a construction contractor based in Coral Gables. Previously, she was as branch manager with Houston-based Premier Global International Brokers. She holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Universidad Metropolitana in Caracas and a master’s in management from Colorado Technical University
