Debra Bauman promoted to vice president at Skanska USA

Debra Bauman has been promoted to vice president of business development for Florida at Skanska USA. She was senior director of business development for West Florida. She joined Skanska in 2005 as vice president of business development for Tampa Bay. Her first experience with Skanska came in 1999 on Trinity School for Children, a design build K-8 school while she was employed with Reynolds Smith and Hills.

Miller Construction Company promotes Brian Sudduth, Jeff Slade, and Chris Hannaka

Miller Construction Company, a Fort Lauderdale-based design builder and general contracting company, has promoted Brian Sudduth, Jeff Slade and Chris Hannaka to senior leadership positions. All three executives are shareholders in the 38-year-old firm.

Sudduth, named senior vice president, will lead Miller's preconstruction team in producing budgeting and analysis of project site conditions and potential construction systems. He advises clients on alternate construction techniques and other strategic issues to help them maximize savings. He joined Miller in 2005 and most recently was vice president of preconstruction.

 

 

Slade has been promoted to vice president - operations manager. He will be responsible for managing client relationships, participating in strategic planning, and recruiting talent. He also reviews and monitors reports regarding financial performance of the company and mentors operations employees. He joined Miller in 1998 and most recently was project executive, overseeing complex construction projects for the office, educational, broadcast and hospitality sectors.

 

 

Hannaka, who has been promoted to project executive from project manager, joined the firm in 1999 and has worked on diverse projects ranging from education, athletic arena/fitness and government buildings to performing arts and digital broadcasting facilities.

Joseph Roig named vice president of construction at Atlantic Pacific Development

Joseph Roig has been named vice president of construction at Atlantic | Pacific Development, the development subsidiary of South Florida-based A | P. Roig will be responsible for the oversight of construction of Doral Grande, a new rental community in Doral. The Class A, multifamily project will consist of 360 rental units across a 30-acre site. He also will be responsible for construction oversight on future developments for A | P. Before joining the firm, he was vice president of construction at Taubco and also served as director of construction for Lennar. 

Skanska USA promotes Fred Hames, John Cammack

Fred Hames has been promoted to general manager and executive vice president for Florida, and John Cammack has been promoted to Southeast Regional operations manager of Skanska USA's building unit.

Hames joined Skanska in 1998 and has worked on projects in nearly every market sector, including healthcare, life sciences and academic medical centers.

 

 

 

 

 

Cammack has been a general manager for 10 years. His new role will focus on operational excellence throughout the southeastern United States. Some of his responsibilities will include helping facilitate communication between offices and promoting innovation and best practices. 

Alyssa Ramos. Cristian LaCapra named to new positions at Latin Builders Association

Alyssa Ramos has been promoted to executive vice president and Cristian LaCapra has been named to the board of junior directors at the Latin Builders Association (LBA), one of the largest Hispanic construction associations in the United States.

Ramos has been been with the LBA for two years and was member services representative.

 

 

 

 

 

LaCapra is the regional manager of corporate development, Miami-Dade, for the Miami Dolphins.

Kenneth Smuts named vice president and project executive at Coastal Construction Group

Kenneth Smuts has been named vice president/project executive at Coastal Construction Group in Miami. In his new role, he will focus on Coastal’s expanding list of medium and large scale projects in preconstruction, while also exploring opportunities for additional growth with potential investors. Before joining Coastal, he was founding partner for KMAC development services. Before that, he was the senior vice president and managing director for The Related Group.

Noelia E. Moreno has joined the law firm of Infante Zumpano as Of Counsel.

Noelia E. Moreno, president of the Latin Builders Association (LBA), has joined the law firm of Infante Zumpano as Of Counsel. In her new role, she will serve as a legal advisor to business owners in a wide variety of industries, with a special emphasis on construction. Her practice areas include commercial insurance, risk management, vendor and contractor relations, assisting business owners in adopting growth strategies, the legal complexities associated with such a process, and the winding down of a business.Before joining Infante Zumpano, she was vice president of sales and administration and co-owner of Moralmar Kitchen Cabinets, Inc. Moreno also is a certified professional life coach. She sits on the executive board of the LBA and served for the past two years as the publisher of Proyecto Magazine, the official magazine of the LBA. She was elected in 2009 as the first female president of the LBA.

Steve Pouk named vice president at Miami-based Coastal Construction

Steve Pouk has joined Miami-based Coastal Construction as vice president. In his new role, he will oversee the design, development and construction of hospitality projects in South Florida and in the Caribbean. He most recently was senior vice president for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he oversaw operations in the company’s design and construction department in the Bahamas, Mexico and U.S. Virgin Islands plus pre-development work in Aruba and Antigua. He also was project director of the St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort and Residences, leading the design, development and construction team.

Nancy Stoner promoted to partner at Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney

Nancy Stoner has been promoted to partner of the civil litigation law firm Daniels Kashtan Downs Robertson & McGirney in Coral Gables. She will represent owners, developers, contractors and design professionals in the practice of construction law. She also focuses on residential and commercial real estate transactions for individual and corporate clients. She was an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County under former Attorney General Janet Reno.
