Carnival Corp. promotes two vice presidents

Carnival Corp., based in Miami, has promoted James Hunn to senior vice president - maritime policy & compliance and Richard Muth to vice president - risk advisory services.

Hunn joined Carnival in May 2002 as vice president - environmental compliance after a 32-year engineering career in the U.S. Navy.

 

 

Most recently, Muth oversaw the implementation of the company's enterprise risk management program.

 

Carnival Cruise Lines names VP

Rob Borden has been named vice president of customer marketing for Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines. Borden will oversee the company's marketing efforts and customer-loyalty programs. Most recently, Borden served as chief marketing officer for Points International.

Carnival Cruise Lines promotes executive VP

Lynn C. Torrent has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and guest services for Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines. She will have overall responsibility for the cruise line's worldwide sales, reservations and guest services functions. Torrent was most recently Carnivalés senior vice president of sales and guest services.

 

Vice president of Azamara Cruises

Azamara Cruises has appointed Edie Bornstein as vice president of sales and marketing. She has more than 25 years of experience in the cruise, travel and technology industries, most recently serving as vice president of business development and strategic partnerships for Carnival Cruise Lines.

Board of directors for Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida has appointed Brenda Yester (pictured) to chair its board of directors. Yester, vice president of revenue management for Miami-based Carnival Cruise Lines, will help lead the nonprofit organization as it seeks to grant the wish of every medically-eligible child in its 13-county Florida territory.

Joining Yester are Guillermo "Willy'' Gomez of Mellon United National Bank, as chair elect, Lisa Bauer of Royal Caribbean International, as chair-elect designate, and Dulce Stephens, as treasurer.

Senior VP at cruise travel agent network

Terri Burke has been hired as senior vice president of relationship marketing at Fort Lauderdale-based Cruise Planners/American Express, a travel agent network for the cruise industry. Burke previously worked as vice president of business development and industry relations at Norwegian Cruise Lines.

Senior vice president for Royal Caribbean International

Betsy O'Rourke has been named senior vice president of marketing for Royal Caribbean International. She will be responsible for all aspects of the cruise line's marketing program, including brand strategy and positioning, consumer and trade advertising, web and loyalty marketing, research, brand development and communications.  Previously, she served as senior vice president of marketing and communications for Wyndham Worldwide.

Public relations manager for MSC Cruises

Julianne Carelli has been hired as public relations manager for MSC Cruises. Her responsibilities include expanding the cruise line's consumer awareness in the U.S. and Canada while reinforcing the online marketing efforts. Previously, she worked with the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, FL, where she managed public relations efforts for high-profile events and promotions while developing relationships with local and national media as well as partnered with travel and tourism organizations.

Vice president of Norwegian Cruise Line

Camille Olivere has been named vice president of sales for Norwegian Cruise Line. Previously, she was vice president of sales for the global e-commerce division of Travelport. In this role, she will be responsible for leading the line's North American sales team.
