Ramon Tebar has been named music director of Florida Grand Opera. He will provide an artistic vision, watching over the musical integrity and performance level of the orchestra, chorus and singers. He also will provide artistic planning advice and recommend singers for upcoming seasons. The Spanish conductor was music director for the Palm Beach Symphony, where he debuted as resident conductor in 2009.

MTV Networks Latin America, based in Miami, promoted Pablo Yacub to general counsel. He has been with the company for nine years.

Gabriela Schwartz has been promoted to senior director of marketing for Island Def Jam Music Group. She will be responsible for the creation of marketing and advertising plans, artist development, and image direction. Previously, she was associate director of digital marketing for RCA Music Group.
