Chris Valle has joined Sawgrass Mills as tenant relationship manager. Before joining Sawgrass Mills, he worked for Oakley for 10 years. Most recently, he served as retail district manager for Oakley. Valle has also held positions at Universal Systems as well as New Balance.
Romina Nabhen has been named fashion and Fifth Avenue Club director at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland. She has worked at Saks Fifth Avenue Dadeland before. In 2008, she was the fashion director. In this role, she was responsible for overseeing all public relations, special events, trend presentations and fashion show productions. She has also held positions at FENDI Casa and Conde Nast.
Josie Legido-Correa has been named South Florida regional membership director at Florida Retail Federation. She became involved with the Downtown Miami Partnership in 1990 and was named executive director in 1994. She has also worked to bring quality retail and restaurants to the Miami central business district over her career.
Tire Group
International has named Luis Torres as vice president of international program
sales. He has more than 25 years experience in the tire industry. Torres has
served as director of export sales for Hercules Tires International. He has
also served as export sales manager for Alliance Tire Group.
Andy Montero
has been promoted to vice president of retail business and develop for The Heat
Group. Montero was previously the senior director of retail operations for 15
years. He will now oversee the entire retail business for the AmericanAirlines
Arena and develop future retail business opportunities.
Francisco L. Borges and Susan D. Kronick have been named to the board of trustees of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.
Borges is chairman and managing partner at Landmark Partners, an alternative investment firm specializing in private equity and real estate. He was treasurer for the state of Connecticut and deputy mayor of the city of Hartford. He also is a former member of the board and treasurer of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving.
Kronick was a vice chairman of Macy’s, Inc. During her tenure, she was responsible for overseeing 850 Macy’s and Bloomingdale’s department stores, led one of the largest mergers in retail history and was instrumental in creating Macy’s as a national brand. She retired in 2010, and continues her community service work.
Saul Fonseca has been named sales manager at Doubletree by Hilton Grand Biscayne Bay in Miami. He will be responsible for the tour & travel group sales, business transient sales and corporate sales. Before joining Doubletree, he was an account executive for national accounts at Royal Caribbean International.
Dadeland Mall hired Renee Lanzara as director of mall marketing and business development. She was previously senior account executive and new business development account executive for Clear Channel Online, Music and Radio.
