Tom Riecke has been named vice president of sales for the Americas with DBK Concepts in Miami. He will be responsible for managing DBK’s sales force and expanding the products and services the company offers. Before joining DBK, he spent 26 years with LXE, serving as vice president of sales in the Americas. DBK offers new and refurbished data-collection mobile computers, custom software development, maintenance and repair services, and professional/implementation services.
Oscar Elizaga has been promoted to senior vice president of the Americas, at Scala, a provider of digital signage and advertising management solutions. He will be based in Miami and will be responsible for all of Scala's sales, services and support operations in the United States and Latin America. He was vice president, EMEA, India & Latin America at Scala. He has more than 30 years of experience, obtained with technology companies including IBM, Kulicke and Soffa, InterDigital Communications Corporation, Bentley Systems and Expand International Corporation.
Eric Dosal has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Compuquip Technologies Inc., an IT services provider in South Florida. He succeeds Alberto Dosal, who will now serve as chairman of the family-owned and operated company. Since 2010, Eric Dosal has served as Compuquip's chief operating officer. During this time, he co-founded the subsidiary BrightGauge Software, a cloud-based application for managed services providers. Before that, he served as director of services and before that, he was director of managed services. Early in his career, he was an associate with the investment banking group at Blaylock & Partners in New York City.
Josh Meyer has been named chief technology officer at Investor Solutions, an independent, investment management firm. He will be responsible for integrating updated portfolio management software into the firm's existing computer systems and overseeing compliance. He previous jobs included creating and selling a software start-up company. He also has worked for a portfolio management software company. He also has five years of experience in portfolio management and financial planning working for an investment advisory firm.
Felix Vulis has been named to the board of directors of Net Element, a South Florida-based developer and publisher of Internet services powered by a video-based technology platform. He is chief executive officer of Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation (ENRC), a natural resources group, performing integrated mining, processing, energy, logistics and marketing operations.
Vicky Garcia has been promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing and Brian Shultz has been promoted to vice president of information technology at Cruise Planners/American Express, a Coral Springs-based travel agent franchise serving the cruise industry. Garcia will be responsible for overseeing training, operations and all sales and marketing initiatives. She joined Cruise Planners/American Express in 2004 as director of group operations and was quickly promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing. She has more than 24 years of cruise industry experience, having spent more than 10 years at Royal Caribbean International. She also worked for Norwegian Cruise Line before joining Cruise Planners/American Express. In just over a year, Shultz has not only managed Cruise Planners' IT department but has successfully developed and launched more than nine new technologies and products for the company's home-based travel advisors.
Jill Finkelstein has been named president of the Florida Health Information Management Association (FHIMA). She will oversee activities focused on preparing the health information management workforce for industry and governmental changes, and lead the advancement of health technology. She is Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center's Health Information Manager.
Victor Kong has been named vice president of digital media at the Cisneros Group of Companies. He will be based at the company's headquarters in Miami and will be responsible for designing and establishing digital business strategies for new ventures and opportunities, and their development and implementation. He has worked in top positions for several organizations, including Terra Networks and MTV Networks Latin America. He also was vice president and managing director of MySpace Latin America. Later, he joined Time Warner as vice president and general manager of CNN Radio.
Raag Srinivasan has been named chief technology officer (CTO) at Mobile Insight, a wireless application developer based in Coral Gables. He will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of the firm's products development. He also will be focused on developing and bringing innovative technologies to market and further expanding their patent applications. He has spent 15 years in the software industry. Before joining Mobile Insight, he was acting CTO at Smarthinking. He also served in technical leadership roles at Lockheed Martin, Intelliworks, Northrop Grumman, and Verisign.
Albert Llodrá has been named chief financial officer at Inktel Direct Corp. in Miami Lakes. He has more than 25 years experience in public accounting and will be responsible for all financial operations at Inktel Direct. He began his career with Deloitte & Touche in 1985 and specialized in catering to the needs of high growth middle-market companies. His clients consisted of private, public and nonprofit organizations and various local banking institutions. He also has served as interim CFO for several entities.
