Elaine de Valle has joined Voxxi, an online site for independent news, analysis and commentary with a Hispanic focus, as senior editor. She will work with Voxxi editors and correspondents to coordinate coverage and cover on news trends that are of importance to Hispanics. She will also continue to write her Political Cortadito blog, but will expand it to take on national campaigns and regional issues across the U.S. that impact Hispanic communities. She has been a reporter and South Florida political watchdog blogger. She spent 18 years as a staff writer for The Miami Herald.

Cristina Raecke, Angel Burgos newest executive directors at FIU's College of Business Administration
Cristina Raecke and Angel Burgos have been hired as executive directors at Florida International University's College of Business Administration.
Raecke will be responsible for publications, web presence, event marketing and the development and implementation of the marketing strategies for graduate and undergraduate programs. She has worked with Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks and the law firm of Greenburg Traurig. She also was manager of marketing and communications for Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision. Before that, she was manager for marketing and community relations for the Miami Downtown Development Authority, and director of recruiting and admissions for the University of Miami's MBA programs.
Burgos will direct and manage the MBA programs and will have overall management responsibility for the Master of International Business program. He was director of MBA and MS in accounting programs for the George Mason University School of Management. Before that, he also contributed to the graduate programs for the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins University and George Washington University.

Eric Dosal promoted to president and chief executive officer of Compuquip Technologies Inc.
Eric Dosal has been promoted to president and chief executive officer of Compuquip Technologies Inc., an IT services provider in South Florida. He succeeds Alberto Dosal, who will now serve as chairman of the family-owned and operated company. Since 2010, Eric Dosal has served as Compuquip's chief operating officer. During this time, he co-founded the subsidiary BrightGauge Software, a cloud-based application for managed services providers. Before that, he served as director of services and before that, he was director of managed services. Early in his career, he was an associate with the investment banking group at Blaylock & Partners in New York City.
