Shortly after Sen. Jim King, chairman of the Senate rules council, asked members to keep questions and debate only to essentials, pointing out that "we just spent an hour on a bill that was passed 39 to nothing," senators launched into a detailed debate on who should be called a social worker.
Sen. Larcenia Bullard, a Miami Democrat, was one of the debaters. King brought up the subject again, saying Bullard must have been in the restroom for his first announcement.
"I know sometimes that's a hard pill for Sen. Bullard to swallow ," King said.
