To the SPT: shalom

Amid hard-hitting reporting about Gov. Charlie Crist's spider-bite recovery and posting of a prayer at the Western Wall in Jerusalem, the St. Pete Times takes a swipe at the Miami Herald's "enterprising" decision for 1) not going to Israel with Crist and 2) posting House Democratic Leader Dan Gelber's perceptions while overseas with Crist.

Compare the SPT piece today here with Gelber's here. Not much of a difference. So when the SPT asks if Gelber will apply for press credentials, is that paper also looking for a way to save reporter-junket money as well?

What do you mean there's not much difference? Gelber's had more substance.

Gelber's piece had less sucking up to the Governor.

So how serious is Gov. Charlie Crist's spider-bite?
