Miami developer Armando Gutierrez Jr., son of the political operative known for his role in the Elian Gonzalez saga, has started a new group aimed at electing conservatives in Washington and Tallahassee.
StrongParty.org is hosting a fundraiser Saturday at the Rusty Pelican for Jupiter attorney Tom Rooney, who is running for Congress. Also on the group's to-do list: U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan of Sarasota and Florida House candidates Todd Goberville of Parkland and Eric Eisnaugle of Orlando.
Gutierrez, 26, runs his own company and is the youngest appointee to the Jackson Memorial Hospital Public Health Trust.

Sounds like a vehicle for fat consulting fees.

If ignorance is bliss, this is one happy guy. Anyone who tries to run state and federal PACs out of the same entity is in for a nightmare of conflicting regulations and impediments such as the fact that corporate contributions are legal under state law but banned under federal. This guy needs a good election lawyer and cpa before he finds himself in deep guano.

For what AG Jr. lacks in grey matter, he makes up for with blind bravado. Good luck. He'll need it.

Armando is smart to create this PAC. He has good connections with the best attorneys in the tri-county/state arena. He is also smart to get behind strong candidates, such as Eisnaugle and especially, Goberville. Todd will out work Martin Kia, and with the help of PACs such as Armando's, will work towards a strong victory in '08.

Armando is smart to create this PAC. He has good connections with the best attorneys in the tri-county/state arena, so I don't think BCRA will get him into hot water. He is also smart to get behind strong candidates, such as Goberville. Todd will out work Martin Kiar, and with the help of PACs such as Armando's, will work towards a strong victory in '08.

Glad to see Gooberville's cronies are blogging again. Go ask Eric Zichella how much your having your friends blog all day helps you win.

Good for Jr. He is an outstanding business man who chose a life outside of his families strong political ties. He is a great conservative that will do wonders for our country. Congratulations to Armando who his highly educated and has learned business from the likes of Carlos De La Cruz and Martin Margulies. How about that for a 26 year old.

I read jealousy among others in most of these comments. Good for Gutierrez who is the future of Business in Florida.
