Mack likes Mitt

U.S. Rep. Connie Mack of Fort Myers, who represented a Fort Lauderdale-based district in the Florida House before moving to southwest Florida, has endorsed Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.

Mack, who has tried to make a name for himself as a taxcutter and nemesis of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez, will serve as chairman of Romney's statewide steering committee. He's the son of former U.S. Connie Mack.
