McCain picks up gun support

John McCain looked to solidify his conservative credentials Monday, locking up support from Pasco County GOP chair Bill Bunting, a leading guns rights advocate who was a member of former prez candidate Fred Thompson's "Sportsmen for Fred" steering committee.

"I look for the candidate who understands the idea that with great freedoms come great responsibilities, which is why I am supporting John McCain," Bunting said. "John McCain is an honorable man a great American with a strong commitment to second amendment rights and I am proud to support him for president."
