Wonder if Obama still thinks Michigan doesn't matter

Exit polls from yesterday's Michigan primary suggest that that Hillary Clinton could be in trouble with black voters, though the results must be taken with a grain of salt since most of her opponents were not on the ballot due to the dispute between the state and national parties. Blog posts are here and here.

The items show the media's interest in analyzing primary results even when delegates to the nominating convention aren't at stake, despite the disdain-dripping memo from the Barack Obama campaign dismissing Florida and Michigan as meaningless. Imagine the feeding frenzy the night of Jan. 29 over how the rival Democrats fared among Florida's large black, Hispanic and senior populations.
