Zogby: Crist helps McCain

Put down the sour-grapes juice, Mr. Bense, John Zogby says his poll with CSPAN indicates Gov. Charlie Crist's endorsement of John McCain helps.

From a press release:

"In what’s become a two-man game for the Republicans, Arizona Sen. John McCain now holds a slim lead over rival Mitt Romney while all others lag well behind in the Florida primary race, the latest Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby telephone tracking poll shows.

Boosted by a strong endorsement from Republican Gov. Charlie Crist, McCain has 33% support, compared to former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, who wins 30% backing. The two leaders have been locked in a tight contest ahead of Tuesdays election. This three-day tracking poll, which surveyed 818 likely Republican voters, carries a margin for error of +/- 3.4% and was conducted Jan. 25-27.

Eight percent of voters remained undecided in the tight race.

In the battle for third place, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani is once again ahead of former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, 14% to 11%. Huckabee had leapt ahead of Giuliani in yesterday’s three-day tracking poll, but he gave back three points in the last 24 hours and again trails Giuliani."

Zogby runs an interactive poll that has been the worst of all polls in each state so far.

As for sour grapes, Bense speaks the truth. Look at the crosstabs of recent polls. It shows Crist struggles in NW Florida.

Gotta to love it kids! The ole Republican designatocracy is dead. Let's bury it deep. The orthodoxy keeps waiting for God to deliver us from McCain or at least to strike him like Saul on is way to Damascus. Hmmm, afraid it ain't gonna happen. Call him a rat, a bald rat, an old rat, an ugly rat, a RINO rat, or whatever insult you can conjure, the FACT is that Billary fears the Capt. the most. That alone gets my vote for McCain. And that's what the polls are showing: who is most likely to take on Billary's sucker punches in November.
