Clinton: I'm in until we resolve Florida

Hillary Clinton is emphatically rejecting calls for her to wrap up her bid for the presidency, telling the Washington Post she's in the fight "until we see what happens in the next 10 contests and until we resolve Florida and Michigan..."

"We cannot go forward until Florida and Michigan are taken care of, otherwise the eventual nominee will not have the legitimacy that I think will haunt us," Clinton said. ""I can imagine the ads the Republican Party and John McCain will run if we don't figure out how we can count the votes in Michigan and Florida."

The Post said Clinton's campaign requested the interview Saturday to talk about how she could win and to emphasize her focus on Michigan and Florida.

The Democrats have some nerve to ask her to even think about dropping out of the race when many have not voted, some still not counted (Florida and Michigan) and most of all....the party has changed they are not the Democrats, they are the DUMBACRATS. Hillary is the only chance they have to actually to change the United States for the better after the campaign is over....fools

You guys are so mistaken with your comments. Some of you are stuck on what Rev. Wright said. And Beth you are wrong if you think that Senator Clinton can change America any better than Senator Obama can. And she should bow out the race because she is clearly beaten and doesn't have the popular vote! I am an agent of change and hope. You guys will see coming this November and wake up to see a half black half white president!

Sen Clinton is making the Florida and Michigan issues much worse for the democrats for the fall election

Sen Clinton and all the candidates agreed to the dnc rules and signed the pledge not to campaign/count these states if they moved up their primary dates

Let me ask a question:
Why should Sen Clinton be allowed to change rules that she signed onto and agreed to in advance?
Why is the dem party allowing Sen Clinton to try and blame the Obama campaign for the situation in Florida and Michigan?

Certainly the Obama campaign has not been jumping up and down for re votes - but both states could not get re votes together anyway--

All this type of thing does is try and sway the uninformed to rise up and say OBAMA is to blame - when Ms Clinton was a party to the DNC rules and signed them in advance

What kind of a President signs and makes agreements and then changes them when they don't work in their favor?

What kind of a President sits down with the newspaper (Pitts Trib) that claimed she was part of the murders of Vince Foster and Ron Brown?

The answer is a candidate so desperate to win that she puts personal ambition over the good of the party

So why Floridians do not clearly see this could be that the newspapers/blogs like this
do not give factual information

Any democrat should at least want the candidates to care about winning in November 2008 - is this clear in Ms Clinton's case?

Hey Alison get you need to quit sounding like a warmed over Republican. I forgot you are a REPUBLICAN. Let's elect areal DEMOCRAT and elect HILLARY CLINTON instead of someone who will lose when the going gets tough.

I have an aunt who lives i Florida. She is 60 years old, widow and slightly disabled after a car accident. She sent me a letter asked about the Democratic voting procedure. She is worried that her vote and the votes of other Floridians will not be counted. She is not strong enough to fight but she asks me if the Democratic National Committee, Howard Dean, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and other Democrats are able to overrule the the Ideal of Equel Citizenship.

She refers to Amendment 14 - Citizenship Rights: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

She wants change in the White House and hopes that her vote for Hillary Clinton will be counted. Her opinion is that no real change is possible if a woman is not elected during the General Election in November. My question on behalf of my aunt is: Can any person or organization strip her previlege to vote? Is there anyone who can give her an answer?
