Clinton again calls for Jan. 29 Florida primary to count

Campaigning in Oregon, Hillary Clinton tried a new tact in her push to have the Jan. 29 Florida primary count, noting that state officials ratified the vote.

"Some say their votes should be ignored and the popular vote in Michigan and Florida should be discounted. Well, I have a different view," Clinton said at a rally. "The popular vote in Florida and Michigan has already been counted. It was determined by election results, it was certified by election officials in each state, it's been officially tallied by the secretary of state in each state, and the question is whether those 2.3 million Democrats will be honored and their delegates seated by the Democratic party."

According to the Associated Press, Barack Obama's spokesman, Bill Burton, dismissed the latest call.

"Senator Clinton herself said these contests 'didn't count for anything.' But now that it serves her own political self-interest, she's trying to change the rules and count the results of contests where she and every other candidate pledged not to campaign," Burton said. "In Michigan, Senator Obama wasn't even on the ballot. Our focus should now be on seating the Michigan and Florida delegations in a fair manner."

Hillary Clinton lecturing us about democratic principles is like Bill Clinton lecturing us about marital fidelity.
Don't let the Clinton Mafia back in the White House!

I haven't heard from any regular folks in Fla that they are dying to have delegates from the state seated. All that was decided long before the primary.

The Florida Primary was in some respects similar to an exhibition football game. There were referees who kept score which was reported in the media. The starters weren't in the game as everyone knew it didn't count in the standings. Now we have the 2 teams fighting for a playoff spot so we now petition to count the game. Wouldn't the Commissioner be ordering you into rehab for moron testing?

HILarious... if there had been an actual campaign there she most likely would have lost like in most every state where she had to actually compete instead of just go on name recognition... and of course if she had lost.. suddenly I bet she would do her best to see that the floridians votes did not count.. afterall that was the agreement ahead of time.. funny how she didnt make any big fuss BEFORE the primary... only after... wonder why? if she cared.. I guess she would have said something before?

As a Floridian, it's funny to me that she is pulling this. I would never vote for her, and I know PLENTY of people that feel the same, yet she won the state...

Why are the people in Floria so stupid? Or has a scam been pulled over on us...wouldn't be the first time votes have been changed to support what the corporate machine desires.
