Katherine Harris to mediate Clinton/Obama stalemate?

DC's Roll Call today headlines its Tuesday edition with this stunner: "Clinton, Obama Working it Out? Harris Urges Them to Make Up."

According to the (April 1) story, Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean has called in Florida's former Secretary of State Katherine Harris to "persuade the rivals to settle the party's presidential nomination before the August convention."

"As of press time Monday night, neither Democrat had emerged from the room and Harris had just ordered six more Starbucks triple venti lattes," the faux story notes.

"If being locked in a room with a highly caffeinated Katherine Harris doesn't force them to figure it out, then nothing can," the story quoted a "source close to Dean" saying.

Happy April Fool's Day!
