To Florida, McCain flies spouse-class on wife's jet

While Democrats Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama apparently fly commercial, national media are reporting that Republican John McCain travels on private jets owned by supporters -- including his wife, Cindy McCain.

The Boston Globe reports that McCain is flying on jets owned by corporations that lobby Washington, even though the one-time crusader for campaign finance reform said he wouldn't do so. The practice is legal as long as the campaign pays market rates. One local example: McCain has flown on a plane owned by Harry Sargeant of Gulf Stream, who has two companies that have used Washington lobbyists and another that provides fuel to the Defense Department.

According to The Globe, McCain has also flown four times on a plane owned by John Moran of Palm Beach, the retired chairman of a New York-based investment company.

McCain also flies on a corporate jet owned by a company headed by his wife, according to The New York Times. The new law requiring him to pay charter rates doesn't apply to family members, allowing the campaign to save money and pay cheaper first-class fares.

A campaign spokesman said he traveled on Mrs. McCain's plane to Florida today for a reception at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, the first of six fundraisers in the state over the next couple days.

Obama flys commerical?

What a joke. Go look at his plane it all over the place. Since he removed the american flag, and only has the one required for registration.
