5 Repubs and 1 Dem targeted for abortion vote
Planned Parenthood of Florida is sending mail pieces out targeting five Republicans and one Democrat -- all facing tough November election fights -- for their votes on the bill requiring anyone seeking an abortion to have an ultrasound.
The legislators under fire: Sens. Jeff Atwater, R-North Palm Beach, and Mike Fasano, R-New Port Richey and Reps. Gayle Harrell, R-Port St. Lucie, Doug Holder, R-Sarasota, and Matt Hudson, R-Naples and Darren Soto, D-Orlando. All but Harrell face tough re-election battles. Harrell is running for Congress.
The goal, said Adrienne Kimmell of Planned Parenthood, is to "hold elected officials accountable for their votes.''

Glad to see them holding a Dem's feet to the fire. I'm sick of these southern democrats who take our money and want us to get the party behind them, then they go and act like Republicans.
Plus, even if he really is pro-choice, the stupid bill he voted for would just have raised the cost of health care, not actually done anything about the choice issue. If your going to be a non-Dem have the balls to do it head-on, instead of these stupid little efforts to undermine a women's ability to exercise her legal right to choose. When you resort to underhanded, sideways Republican attacks on my legal rights, you don't deserve to stay in the same party I fight for.

We need help making abortion illegal in the US. I am trying to get pro-life liberals to unite. I have set up a website prolifeliberals.org . Please contribute content and ideas!
Thanks

Rep Soto is simply reprsenting his constitutents which is what I think he was elected to do. He is doing an excellent job and I am certain he will be re-elected.
Fl Planned Parenthood has no influence on votes except the votes of the legisltors who vote to REDUCE their funding because of their political activism. Too bad they choose to focus on their political posturing because their non-abortion clinics actually serve the underserved with health screening and birth control.

Gayle Harrell is suddenly pro-life because it is politically convienient.
In 2002, she cast a pro-abortion vote that killed the "born alive protection act," and, more recently, in an interview with "politico" published on February 28, 2007, Harrell says she supports abortion rights.
Planned Parenthood should be sending her campaign contributions instead of targeting her.

Harrell voted with the Christian Coalition on 100% of the votes rated by the Christian Coalition.
She voted to save Terri Schiavo, against embryonic stem cell research, for parental notification, etc.
Get your facts right, buddy
