Charlie's lunch date

Barring plane malfunctions, Gov. Charlie Crist is scheduled to spend the day in DC, helping Republicans push for the Colombia trade pact -- and taking time to lunch with his new friends, the national press corps.

Crist's official schedule has him lunching at a location "to be determined" with Meet the Press host Tim Russert.

Lunch He'll meet with the plebian Florida press corps as well, (though not for lunch) along with Sen. Mel Martinez, who along with Crist provided a much-needed boost to Sen. John McCain in the Florida primary.

Crist is also sked to meet with GOP Conference Chair Adam Putnam, R-Bartow, and Minority Leader John Boehner before attending a Council of 100 reception and dinner.

The "plebian" Florida press corps?

Only in your mind Ms. Clark...

Your counterpart at the SPT, Steve Bosquet, was arguing not long ago the Florida press corps was one of the most powerful in the country, despite the staffing reductions of almost every outlet's Capitol Bureau.

Oh, woe is me....It must stink to be a print reporter these days.

Media consolidation, staffing cuts, blogs...who needs a mere print journalist anymore?

Bousquet is the best in florida, and no one else is even close.

Bosquet is the best Charlie Crist apologist in florida, and no one else is even close.
