Mel Martinez: Democratic disarray good for the GOP
Florida's Sen. Mel Martinez says the extended primary dispute between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama "has been an unexpected boon to our chances of winning in November."
"It’s got to be a help that we have had some time for the McCain campaign to get its feet on the ground. He's raising money. Getting organization behind him," said Martinez, who endorsed John McCain just in time to see him to clinch Florida.
Appearing in a vodcast, created by the National Association of Manufacturers, Martinez said he thinks it "looks good" for the Arizona senator, though he said he expects a "tough, difficult uphill race."
House Republicans have been rocked by a number of retirements, but Martinez said he expects McCain to help the down ballot races. "I think on the House side we could make some gains."

the republicans have made a disaster of the last seven years and sealed their own fate. Obama is the next President of the United States, and rightfully so. Time for some adult supervision. God bless America.
